We are pleased to announce that, effective immediately, we now have a correspondent broker in Botswana. Our correspondent is SATIB Insurance Brokers and they are based in Gaborone.
SATIB is a privately-owned company led by Seamus O’Neill and has a staff of 8. They are licensed to conduct Non-Life and Life/Group Life/Mortgage Protection business.
Seamus will also act at the Network Country Manager for Botswana.
Seamus began his insurance career in 1975 with Old Mutual Fire & General and Commercial Union and then joined CT Bowring in 1982.
Received an ACII in 1984 and moved to Botswana in 1985 to work for JH Minet / Bowings operation (eventually known as AON).
While with AON, he was the Senior Account Executive for Botswana Telecommunications, Ministry of Fuel & Energy, Air Botswana and Standard Bank. He also was responsible for many of the major road, civil and dam contracts that were placed in Botswana during the period from 1985-2005. He left AON after 22 years of service and opened his own independent brokerage: SATIB Africa Botswana.
Seamus is the most senior insurance broker in Botswana and is ideally placed to assist with any insurance placement issues or general information about Botswana.
